Drivers who have not crossed 25-years of age will find the insurance rates much higher than the older people who have been driving for a long time. No insurance company wants to lose money and this is their way of ensuring they do not end up paying huge amounts of insurance for inexperienced young drivers who get into accidents frequently.
While saving on money is a major reason for insurance companies hiking up the rates for young drivers, this move also acts as a deterrent to driving carelessly. In order to keep their records clean and ensure the rates are reduced at a later date, young drivers are forced to keep their head over their shoulders while driving.
You might think that you are better off without car insurance. Unfortunately, you cannot take that route, as it is illegal and will reflect on your driving records if ever the authorities catch up with you. That would mean a bad thing with no insurance company willing to compromise on the rates even in the future.
